Weyward by Emilia Hart

Brief synopsis:

Altha, Violet and Kate are three generations of women in the same family born with a magical, supernatural connection to the natural world. Set across three very different time periods (17th century, 1940’s and modern day) the Weyward women’s stories unfold as they discover they can draw strength and power from the natural world. With each woman battling the abusive men in their lives and the social obstacles of their time (from being accused of witchcraft to enforced marriage) they each find comfort in Weyward cottage; a safe place in the woods which has been passed down through the women in the family, providing refuge for them all.  Surrounded by trees, birds and animals they each discover their own inherent gifts and their connection to each other and the world around them as the cottage they’ve all shared becomes the source of their survival.
